Valentine Love Potion Bottles
I always have lots of miscellaneous bottles and jars around here. When a friend gave me these little brown bottles and jugs I decided to come up with a little project with a Valentine twist. Nothing revolutionary here, just a simple little craft : )
Recently, Angie at Knick of Time posted these cute printable labels, and I knew I wanted to use them for something. Yesterday I decided to make them into Love Potion labels.
I used PicMonkey to add the "Love Potion" words to the blank area, and the "9" to the bottom.
On this one I added the words "four" and "Love Potion" in the blank area. I used their Meie Script font which matched the label almost perfectly.
I thought the pink-ish tinge of the labels would be kind of pretty with the brown glass. What do you think?
I printed these on regular computer paper and glued them to the bottles with Mod Podge. I went over the front of the labels with a thin coat of Mod Podge also, just to seal it a bit.
I wanted to add a little ribbon to the top of these, but didn't have any pink ribbon so I went to my fabric scraps and found a pink cotton shirt to tear into strips.
For the larger jugs and bottle I tore some natural cotton fabric strips to use as ribbons.
I think this was a wine bottle. It had a pretty design on the glass, and a perfect flat area for a label on the front.
The little bluish-green bottle was from a coffee drink. I added a little crepe paper rosette to this one.
The jugs would be cute to hang with some flowers in them. Maybe a few pink roses?
I think they could be cute Valentine's Day gifts as is....
....or how about filled with cinnamon hearts or jelly beans, or even bubble bath? I'm going to use one or two for gifts and the rest are probably going to a local shop.
Thank you to Angie at Knick of Time for offering lots of creative inspiration with free printables as well as her own awesome creative projects.
Happy creating, and have a great weekend!
Jeanette
